When you use Ant, we collect the following information:

• Account information: Phone number, display name, and profile details you provide during registration
• Habit data: Habits you create, completion records, and group membership
• Messages: Content you send in habit group conversations
• Contacts: If you enable contact sync, we access your phone contacts to help you find friends on Ant. Contact data is hashed and never stored in plain text.
• Device information: Device type, operating system version, and app version for troubleshooting

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Provide and maintain the Ant service
• Connect you with friends and habit group members
• Track habit completions and calculate group progress
• Send in-app notifications about habit activity
• Improve the App and fix bugs

3. What We Don't Do

• We do not sell your personal data to third parties
• We do not send push notification reminders to complete habits
• We do not use your data for targeted advertising
• We do not share your habit data with anyone outside your habit groups

4. Data Sharing

Your habit completion status and messages are visible to members of your habit groups. Your profile information (name and avatar) is visible to your friends on Ant. We do not share your data with third parties except as required by law.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard encryption. Authentication tokens are hashed before storage. We use JWT-based authentication with short-lived access tokens and revocable refresh tokens.

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove your personal data within 30 days. Anonymized, aggregated data may be retained for analytics purposes.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your account and data
• Export your habit data
• Disable contact sync at any time through Settings

8. Children's Privacy

Ant is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App.
